Firewood is the simplest and most common type of wood fuel. It is often used for heating private homes, industrial premises, baths and saunas. The main advantages of chipped logs:

• Long burning period.
• High degree of heat generation (the best indicator among different species is oak firewood from middle-aged trees).
• Low price – usually firewood is made from wood residues, because the selected raw materials are used for lumber.
• Pleasant atmosphere – you can enjoy the flames and the heat of the wood for a long time.

Thus, firewood is best suited for indoor boilers or fireplaces, because they give a long strong heat, emit a lot of heat (specific calorific value up to 3000 kcal/kg).
